What is proofreading?

Proofreading involves checking and correcting minor typographical, grammatical or spelling errors.
Up Word will also correct verb tenses.

What is light editing?

Next to proofreading editing includes checking and correcting inconsistencies, sentence structure and word usage to ensure clarity and ease of reading. We also offer you advice to help you improve your work.

What is not included?

-revise content
-rewrite to convey the intended meaning
-develop ideas and arguments
-rewrite sections of text to improve the style
-check bibliographical information for accuracy

Is it possible to proofread/edit only a part of my thesis?

It is always possible to have only one or few chapters of your thesis edited.

Can I send parts of my work before the whole thesis is finished?

Sometimes it is better to send one or two chapters to us rather than waiting until the whole thesis is finished. This gives you more time to review any changes made and avoid repeating the same mistakes.

Why should I have my English thesis edited ?

Up Word charges fixed prices rather than by the hour. This allows students to know how much they will be charged. They also benefit if the work takes longer than expected.

What payment methods do we accept?

For theses or papers of more than 8,000 words you can choose between 72 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks or 4 weeks. Other texts can be returned within 48 hours.
The deadline is set as soon as you have paid.
We can also check your papers during weekends and holidays.

How long does it take to have my thesis checked?

We can also proofread and edit documents in Dutch and French.

Can I have a thesis check in other languages?

Up Word also offers translation services in Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish.
